beep[beep*]

If I could go anywhere on the magic school bus, I'd take a miniature-sized trip through the kitchen. First i'd see the makeup of sodas, swimming in bubbles and sugar. Next, we'd take the bus into the oven to see baking in action. Mrs. Frizzle and all my friends would also take some time to understand the structure of dish soap. And to end it all, we'd eat CAKE!!!

rocket[pride*]

If there was a new student in Wellington High School, I would make sure to show and tell them the most important things about living in this strange little town, and going to our strange little school.

First off, I would tell them that they need to show their rocket*pride! It would be much easier to make friends in this crazy place if you're not afraid to cheer on your new favorite football/basketball/baseball teams.
I'd also make sure to tell them about all of the crazy and interesting teachers in our high school. For example, Mrs. Cudd's stories will teach you more about foreign countries than any book ever could do. Mr. Hays is possibly the best math teacher anyone will ever have, and one should always ask him about Gog, and Gug, and the land of Ug [a.k.a. the story of the beginning of the Pythagorean Theorom]. I'd also be sure to tell them the locations of the best places to when not in class, and who to ask when they are in trouble.

brave[me?]

If faced with the current situation with pirates in Somalia as a captain, I do not think that I would've shown the same kind of courage as the now-famous captain of a captured ship. Personally, I would've had a full -blown meltdown in the face of danger. The question of whether or not people would show the same kind of grace under the pressure he was given leaves the whole world wondering what they would do. The captain did not have any idea what would be happening, or that in giving the pirates a single hostage to see to, he made it easier for the U.S. Navy to fatally shoot the three men that were then watching him.  I, on the other hand, probably would've been in hysterics, heading straight to my doom being held uncomfortably as a hostage on a pirated ship.

easter[nieces*]

I never really did anything for easter during my childhood that is memorable, but I am now beginning to remember the Easters that I spend with my nieces, Lillie and Avery. In the past couple of years, my sisters children have been able to start doing egg hunts, and meet the Easter bunny. Last year, the two girls did two easter hunts, one with my church, and one in the park. The girls very much enjoyed running around and finding eggs with candy and prizes in them. But the most memorable part of last years Easter for me was discovering that my (then) three-year-old niece had decided to put cake in the Alphabet. It brought my family a good laugh to hear her say "A B C D E F G, H I J CAKE L M N O P......." I suppose this isn't really a particularly Easter-based memory, but it was still on Easter.

results**

In Mexico right now, the government is putting a value on drug lord capture: $2 million. They have also posted a list of the the country's drug suspects, organized by trafficking gang. The question now is this: what kind of results will action like this yield??? I believe that such drastic action as this is the only way to produce any kind of result at all. In the fashion of fighting fire with fire, they must fight this money-fueled problem: with money. By offering two million dollars each for twenty-four men, it is going to make the people want these men's capture even more.
As a final thought: what would happen if a member of the drug cartels turns in their overlord? The only way to make this come about would be to promise government protection. But the only way to provide government protection....is to get the United States involved. If the United States began getting involved, and the option of a Witness Protection Program for those who turn in these drug lords, it would make Mexico have a higher chance of ending this problem.
