forgiveness*
"Not forgiving someone is like drinking the poison and waiting for the other man to die."
This statement is slightly hard for me to understand, but the basic idea I'm getting is this: whenever you have been done wrong by somebody, yet refuse to forgive them for what they've done, no matter how trivial or important the incident may have been, all you're doing is hurting yourself. They can probably go on about their life, getting over the fact that you may be mad at them. But you are the one carrying around the anger. By being frustrated or angry with this person, you may miss out on what could be a good friendship. And who wants to have to live with that?

You did a very good job of interpreting the statement!
