.:this.is.halloween:.

This is .halloween. everybody make-a-scene!

Although many people have fond memories of trick-or-treating, or causing trouble on Halloween, my favorite memory is staying in one year. I wasn't really in the mood to go and get tons of candy, and in any case, I had candy to pass out anyway. "So," I asked myself, "what should I do to entertain myself while I'm home on Halloween?" The answer presented itself to me in the form of my favorite double-holiday movie of all time: The Nightmare Before Christmas.

This is .halloween. everybody [scream]

By staying at home on this night, I may have missed many things. But, I do enjoy just lying around with my family and a bowl of candy to eat. Watching Tim Burton's classic was just the cherry on top of the cake for me. And of course, the cute children in costumes was a plus too!

Everyone hail to the pumpkin song*
